It’s one of the most exciting new openings Sydney’s North Shore has seen. acre Artarmon is a stunning farm-food inspired restaurant bar, café bakery and event space, and it’s had its first unveiling!
Since it was first announced in the North Sydney Facebook Group that acre Artarmon was coming soon, there’s been a huge buzz. And it’s no wonder! Set within sprawling indoor and outdoor productive gardens, and adjacent to HomeHQ Artarmon, the open-air urban oasis feature local and exotic fruit trees, a kitchen garden, vertical plantings and hydroponic growing systems, planted pergolas, picnic style areas, kids’ playground and chicken coop.

Fresh herbs, flowers and fruit grown onsite will be used to produce delicious artisan bakery products; café, restaurant, weddings & events menus; homemade pizzas, garden-inspired cocktails and friendly beverages.
The space will also be a hive of activity. acre Artarmon aims to offer unique experiences, from guided tours, chefs’ demonstrations, long table lunches, meet-the-maker tastings, twilight gardening, produce markets, kid’s programs and more. How amazing will this be for the local area?!
According to their website: “Our casual all-day offer features a fresh, healthy and largely plant-based menu, great coffee, eat-in and to-go items, freshly churned gelato and shakes, cakes, sandwiches and more, utilising seasonal ingredients grown in our gardens. Visitors order through their phones or at the counter; eat-in the atrium, wander or sit amongst the greenery in the plaza with food and drinks, or take something back to work or home for later.”
Many will know of acre Camperdown, which is wildly popular for many of the features that acre Artarmon will also have. It opened in 2016, and is “a farm-food focused venue, located within Camperdown Commons. Our ‘farmer’s home’ restaurant takes in expansive lawns, courtyards, garden terraces, decked and kid’s areas whilst our our repurposed shipping container offers daily sustenance.” It also has a Spritz Bar, and the “magic of the space comes to life with fairy lights in the evening.”
The acre Artarmon restaurant opened on Friday, 6th November, and takes in views of the gardens and terraces, and “features their unique Italian farm food menu.” The cafe is open daily.
