Easter Fair, Terrey Hills

easter eventsThis Easter Fair at the German International School in Terrey Hills is all about having fun, while making a difference to the lives of those less fortunate. The Enterprising Kids will be selling Easter bags with Darrell Lea chocolates, which are Australian made, palm oil free, and sustainably sourced. There will be a range of activities for all ages including Easter Egg hunts and Easter crafts. All profits go to Peninsula Senior Recyclers who fix and rehome pre-loved toys. Entry to the fair is one pre-loved toy.

Easter at The Greens North Sydney

Hop into the Easter long weekend at The Greens in North Sydney. There’ll be live music from Friday to Sunday and an Easter dessert special for the adults. For the kids there’s a chance to win a Nintendo Switch by entering the Easter colouring in competition.
On Easter Sunday there will be a special furry visitor join in for an easter egg hunt from 1-4pm, all with spectacular views of the Harbour.

Eggcellent Easter

Have you heard the story of how the Easter Bilby came to be Australia’s Easter mascot? To find out, parents and children can join in on a one hour program led by an education ranger through the stunning Centennial Parklands. There are nature based games and art projects celebrating Australia’s native plants and animals in the great outdoors. Follow trail maps, overcome challenges and connect with the natural world and their community.

Family Easter Fun Day at Norths

An Easter holiday isn’t complete without watching the classic movie Hop, so if you haven’t seen it yet, head to Norths on Easter Saturday where it will be played in the auditorium. The Easter Bunny and his helper will make a special appearance after the movie, and kids can have their picture taken! And to ensure the little ones don’t go hungry, Norths is offering $5 kids meals all day with every adult meal purchased.

Easter Bilby Trail

For a stunning outdoor experience, join Buddy the Easter Bilby at the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden on a quest to find his friends in this beautiful nature setting. You can pick up a map at the Visitor Centre, and spot all the native Australian animals hidden along the trail. If you return the completed map at the end you’ll receive a little Easter treat!

Easter Craft and Easter Hunts

The Nature Play program offering weekly nature themed activities at the Wildflower Garden is offering Easter craft sessions for children aged between 2-6 years. You can make your own baskets and enjoy Easter celebrations. Activities cost $20/child with one parent/carer free of charge.

Sydney Royal Easter Show

With COVID restrictions hopefully now behind us, its time to get back in to the greatest Easter tradition, the Sydney Royal Easter Show! Aside from the 392 showbags on offer, there are outback pony rides, carnival rides, opportunities to get up close to baby animals in the farmyard nursery, and watch the strong men and women compete in the woodchopping and sawing competition. There’s also the Easter Show Grand Parade which is believed to be the first of its kind in the world! Watch the best of the best in Australian agriculture make their way around the main arena in procession, humans and their four legged friends!

Sydney Family Show

On a smaller scale and this time in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, there is the Sydney Family Show. It has carnival games and rides, an animal nursery, live stage performances, dogs in the park, and showbags. For $10, children can collect a basket and roam around to collect three toys. On Easter Sunday there will be rabbit hopping competitions!

Easter Oratorio Musical Performance

Come along and listen to a program of music written especially for Easter by the classical composer JS Bach. Played by the Bach Akademie Australia, the program contains the cantatas BWV 42 and BWV 6, and his best loved and most jubilant work, the Easter Oratorio, utilising a full choir and orchestra, still inspiring hundreds of years after it was written.
