We’re all familiar with the TV show and the magazine… now the Better Homes and Gardens brand is looking to extend its reputation for home inspiration and expertise to the buying and selling process. And a brand new North Shore real estate agency has been born!
It’s not often you hear of a magazine or TV show adding a real estate arm, but in the case of Better Homes and Gardens, it’s a move that makes a lot of sense. The brand is a trusted source for people seeking advice and inspiration around homes – be it their own homes or homes they hope to buy or sell.
For vendors, the appeal of promoting their properties through the brand’s magazine, database, TV and digital channels is sure to be appealing. There will even be a dedicated podcast, covering topics from buying to selling, adding value to a home and preparing for sale.
Principal Sally-Anne Lawlor has been a long-time agent in the local area, having previously owned boutique agency 2088 Realty.
She says, “After selling real estate in the North Shore for over 20 years I needed to offer my clients something with a lifestyle option; an option where results are paramount and where media and database promises can be supported. I found Better Homes and Garden Real Estate the only brand with a point of difference. The brand already has a loyal following in the Lower North Shore, so being affiliated with the Better Homes and Gardens network gives my customers options and security.”
Despite the global health pandemic, Sally-Anne sees promising signs in the real estate market. “Even during the pandemic the North Shore is fortunate enough to have buyers pleading to buy homes alongside its beautiful waterfront and in its leafy streets. The big issue in this environment is lack of stock, and the fear sellers have of securing a new home. Surprisingly, the first home buyer market is going crazy – last Friday we sold a property with over 228 inquiries, nine contracts and three buyers fighting it out at the end.”
