Crows Nest residents won’t have to wait much longer for the new Metro!

Be one of the first to catch a glimpse of the new station on Sunday, May 26, as Sydney Metro throws open the doors to the brand new Crows Nest Station for a Community Open Day.

This is your opportunity to explore the station before it opens to the public. Attendees can take a self-guided tour, meet the team behind the project, walk through the concourse level and brand-new metro platforms, 25 metres below ground.

Visitors will also get a sneak peek at the stunning new public art designed by 36-year-old female artist, Esther Stewart. The geometric installation, adorning both the Pacific Highway and Clarke Street entrances, draws inspiration from the rich heritage of the Crows Nest area. Crafted from bespoke ceramic tiles made at Bendigo Pottery, the work aims to bring a splash of colour to our daily commute.

So when will the station officially open? The word is the Crows Nest Metro Station is nearing completion and is expected to open in a few months. Once running, commuters can expect the following travel times:

  • 4 minutes to Chatswood Station
  • 5 minutes to Barangaroo Station
  • 7 minutes to Martin Place Station.

This will be a game-changer for residents, streamlining commutes to the CBD, local schools, businesses, and nights out in the city. Here’s more on what you can expect:
