There are some fabulous new foodie adventures to be had in and around the local area. From a beautiful botanical-inspired cafe to a famous juice and salad bar, and a great new Mexican takeaway – plus more… We’ll keep adding to this very exciting list of new cafes and restaurants!
Cafe Lost and Found’s addition to Miller Street will give you much to talk about. This botanically inspired café offers a greenhouse-style indoor haven where you can enjoy your woodfire roasted coffee and munch on delicious food without feeling rushed. Part of the cafe’s charm is a retail section on one side selling antiques and plants, including the option to bring along your furry friend who’ll be treated to their own little menu! And the human menu sounds wonderful too – there’s a beautiful selection of cakes and pastries, the brunch items look like words of art and lunch is all about the three ”p’s” – pizza, pasta and platters!!

Our buzzing suburb has just welcomed a new Cali Press store — and a soon to be one-stop-shop for your daytime healthy meal needs. The store sits in the heart of North Sydney on 1 Denison Street so you can easily access it when you’re out and about. The menu features popular items like ‘The Godfather’ with ‘Pacino mylk’, espresso shot, banana, vanilla bean, cinnamon, dates, almond butter and the signature ‘Berry collagen’ smoothie with real vegan collagen. For a quick-fix meal, you can also pick up one of its hearty bowls, sandwiches or avo on toast.
Named aptly for its location, The Baby Crow Cafe in Crows Nest is the latest eatery to hit town offering simple and healthy seasonal dishes to keep up with Sydney’s burgeoning demand for a healthier lifestyle. The Baby Crow’s mission is to give its customers ‘real food’ and support small and mid-sized growers who are farming sustainably. Some interesting items on the menu include fire chilli crab eggs, The Baby Crow fruit toast made with house-made grilled peach and figs, house-made sweet labneh on walnut, sausage meatball baguette and premium salmon fillet served with bechamel sauce. You can view the full menu here.
Located in the heart of Crows Nest is El Gringo’s Tacos, a new late-night taco bar that’ll make your tummy happy, especially after a solid drinking session of frozen margaritas with your mates! Your choice of taco fillings include lobster, chicken, market fish, mushrooms, lamb shoulder and grilled steak – and we love that there are these many options. There’s, of course, more stuff on the menu except for tacos like crispy pork belly bites and chargrilled octopus, but what we’re most intrigued by is their latest vegan addition, a watermelon carpaccio!

Chard House draws its passion from its understanding of how a good meal can connect people. What this has led to is a modern take on the traditional chicken shop with the help of chefs who have had over 15 years experience in a variety of cuisines such as Italian, Greek and Armenian. This amalgamation of experiences is what’s influenced and inspired Chard House’s flavours. They’re known for their wagyu beef burgers and juicy chargrilled free-range chickens but there’s a lot more on the menu to try out!
