When a new pizza place with a Middle Eastern twist moves into the area, it’s worth checking out. Manoosh Pizzeria is already an Inner West and Eastern Suburbs institution, and is now winning fans on our side of the bridge. 

It was in Enmore back in 2008, when Manoosh Pizzeria was founded by Charlie Hoyek. Charlies’ Middle Eastern heritage inspired Manoosh’s flavourful menu – the key to its resounding success – and other branches soon opened in Enmore, Marrickville, Waterloo, Caringbah, Revesby and Randwick. The popular pizza restaurant is now widely known and loved for its fusion of Mediterranean flavour and Lebanese flair.

After developing a cult following and winning a slew of awards, the Manoosh crew decided it was time to share their passion for fabulous food with the lower North Shore. In October 2020, Manoosh opened its seventh shop in Mosman and the mouth-watering Lebanese-style pizza has become the talk of the town.

What makes Manoosh Pizzeria’s food so moreish?

Sprinkled with za’atar (a blend of savoury dried herbs) and topped or layered with interesting additions like tahini and Lebanese garlic sauce, it’s hard to imagine just how good or different the pizza tastes until you take your first bite. And the best bit? The crusts will never go to waste — just grab pots of hummus, baba ganoush and labne and dip in. And if you have a big group to feed, you can order the massive 20-inch pie that will satisfy the biggest of pizza lovers with just one slice!

“We definitely think our menu is very unique,” says manager Margaret Hoyek. “Manoosh Pizzeria is the first of its kind to open in the lower North Shore. Our pizzas are nice and crisp, and our speciality wraps and our traditional Lebanese dough melts in your mouth thanks to a recipe that has been handed down from generations of bakers in Charlie’s family.

“We also freshly make and bake our food to order and offer freshly-cooked sides such as Kebbeh and Falafel to name a couple, plus salads, and there’s also freshly-baked desserts such as Baklava and baked, puff pastry calzone filled with extra Nutella.”

Pick up and delivery

In true pizzeria style, you’re welcome to eat in or make a night of it at home – Manoosh offers pick up and delivery.

The restaurant has its own ordering platform with a loyalty program so you can place a direct order with it. You can easily download its app on any device to make the ordering process quicker.
