While there’s been plenty of hype about the new eateries now open at the Victoria Cross Metro station, Crows Nest is getting a boost too…
Li’l Darlin, a stylish new cocktail bar is opening next week, just a five-minute walk from Crows Nest Metro.
With its fun decor, affordable menu, and themed nights, we have an inkling that Li’l Darlin will soon become a local fave.
If you frequent Surry Hills and have ever stepped inside the Elizabeth St bar of the same name, you’ll be happy to know that it’s owned by the same people, and we can expect the same level of frivolity at their Crows Nest venue.
“We wanted to expand to Crows Nest to connect communities to the area and bring that feel we have created in Surry Hills over the bridge for more people to enjoy,” says owner Peter Augoustis.
“We provide a fun, casual and inclusive venue, what we like to think of as a ‘home away from home, where people can come together to celebrate – whether it’s for a casual night out or a special occasion.”
“We also aim to ensure accessibility by offering a good happy hour, along with daily specials so that any day of the week customers can host their birthday, hens party, corporate event, or date night without breaking the bank.”
The new venue will continue to offer regular promotions, including their popular $12.50 Happy Hour, while also introducing new promotions, including Taco Tuesdays ($12 Margaritas & $6 Tacos), Wine Down Wednesdays ($7 Wines & Beers, $12.5 Tapas), along with Clocked Off Thursdays ($12.5 Negronis, Espresso martinis, Aperol Spritzes and Old Fashioneds).
Renowned for its original and iconic Fairy Floss Martini, Li’l Darlin has recently introduced a selection of new cocktails that have proven just as popular, including the ‘Gin There Done That’ ($22), ‘Better the Devil You Know’ ($22) and ‘It Takes 2 to Mango’ ($22).
“With the opening of our Crows Nest location, we’re excited to bring the same handcrafted cocktail experience that our Surry Hills customers know and love,” says owner Peter Augoustis.
“Every cocktail at Li’l Darlin is made from scratch with fresh, high-quality ingredients, ensuring that no matter which side of the bridge you’re on, you can enjoy the same vibrant, fun, and fast service that has become our signature. We’re looking forward to sharing our passion for great drinks and memorable experiences with a whole new community.”
So if you have reason to celebrate – even if it’s making it through the week – Li’l Darlin is the place to be. The Crows Nest location will also host Saturday Bottomless Brunches and Cocktail Masterclass, where you can make like Tom Cruise and master delicious cocktails like their popular Fairy Floss and Gummy Bear Martinis. There’s also there’s plenty of creative non-alcoholic options available too.
Their substantial food menu is filled with pub classics, salads, tapas, and burgers with dishes that all sit under $27.
“The food menu has been created to emphasise a ‘sharing nature’ as we often host a variety of small and large groups for the cocktail classes, bottomless brunch, corporate lunches, after-work drinks, hen’s parties, date nights or a girls night out,” Augoustis says.
We’re thrilled this new exciting venue joins a host of intimate venues in the area, from the original Small Bar to the hatted gem, Annata, Crows Nest is about to become a more exciting spot to go out. Now there’s now plenty of reasons to start and finish your night locally.
