The Legend Returns: North Sydney Olympic Pool Opens to the Public with a Free Weekend

North Sydney Olympic Pool officially opens to the public on Friday 7 August, with free access for the whole community across opening weekend.

Following an official opening ceremony on Friday afternoon, the pool will be free to enter until Sunday 9 August. This will give the community its first chance to experience the legendary harbourside facility.

First opened in 1936 and home to more world records than any other pool, North Sydney Olympic Pool returns in its 90th anniversary year, carrying nine decades of history and community memories into its next chapter.

Opening weekend gives locals and visitors access to swim in the 50m outdoor pool, 25m indoor lap pool, indoor program pool, children’s pool and splash pad and the spa, sauna and steam room. The public will also be able to take a self-guided look through the gym, group fitness studios, sun deck and gelato bar. The gym and group fitness classes will be open to the public from Monday 10 August. Family-friendly activities and entertainment will run throughout the weekend.
