Chatswood Nights

The Concourse precinct in Chatswood has come alive with an exciting program of mesmerising light art, performances and, of course, amazing food. With VIVID being held in August this year, our area may not be able to participate – so the community is fortunate to be able to witness this dazzling display of light now.

Be immersed in changing shapes, colours and patterns as the iconic Concourse rooftop becomes a dynamic canvas for a series of projections. Come face to face with cheeky Australian animals, strange and beautiful flowers and quirky creatures as light sculptures spring up around the precinct. Enjoy al fresco performances each Friday afternoon in the heart of Chatswood.

Step inside the interactive Tele-port, a magical phone booth to take you on an imaginary journey to your dream location. And don’t miss the menagerie of native animals that will descend on The Concourse as light art work Marzoopials by Sydney-based artist Zara Pasfield. Colourful koalas, cheeky cockatoos, and curious kangaroos will light up and serve as a reminder to Australians to protect our unique wildlife and restore our precious habitats.

Each Friday afternoon, everyone can unwind to the sounds of live music on the lawn at The Concourse as members of the renowned Willoughby Symphony Orchestra present a variety of musical styles.  You can also tantalise your tastebuds at one of Chatswood’s many exciting and lively eateries – from fine dining to distinctive trend-setters and local hidden gems, there’s something for everyone.
